Snow, Snow, and more Snow!

We have had 5 big snow storms this winter I think. That is more than I would prefer but at least it makes our grey landscape prettier to look at during the dreary months.

Christmas 2010

Both Graham and Virginia did really well with Santa this year. Graham was so excited because it was Christmas Eve so we had to get in some last minute request.

Graham had many questions about Santa Claus this year. When we went to see him at the mall he wanted to know where he parked his sled. As one would expect, on the rooftop. However, when we came out of the mall, his sleigh was nowhere in sight so the only explanation we could think of was that there must be special garage under the mall to keep the reindeer warm and his sleigh safe from lots of children climbing on it.

Santa outdid himself again this year. Notice the paper on the floor, Santa left us a note and a picture of the bounce house he set up for us in the basement. Wow, will we have fun this winter?!

Graham couldn't believe Santa brought him a real Lightening McQueen Racetrack. Notice the top of "Mac Truck". That was last years big hit present and Graham has carried it or played with it every day since then. Great gift.

We opened gifts from 5:30 to around 10:00. We can make it last.

Whew, we need a break from Christmas. Caillou to the rescue.

December 2010

We spent Thanksgiving in Mississippi and this is our only picture of the weekend. PawPaw and Sissy riding through the pasture in the jeep.

We set up GiGi's Christmas tree at Thanksgiving this year. We were ready for Christmas time.

Our neighbors put on the annual Sneed Rd Christmas Pageant. It was a first for us as the pageant had been on hiatus for about 5 or so years. It was so much fun to see the little ones all dressed up in home-made costumes and decorations.

I'm pretty sure the shepherds didn't have Lightening McQueens but our little shepherd doesn't leave home without him. Graham (3 1/2) and Mac Lowrance (4 1/2).

The weekend before Christmas we headed to Cumming to celebrate with Uncle Patrick and Aunt Janet. By the looks of it, we all had a pretty fun time.

Little Miss Virginia decided sleep was for the weak and she proved to us that a baby can get by on a 30 minute nap and 3 hours of sleep at night for two days. She was a walking Zombie. On Sunday morning when Michael woke me up for my night shift, I loaded her up in the car and we headed to Atlanta. I drove her around 400 and the perimeter for almost 2 hours until the sun came up. I was so tired and needed caffeine so badly but I knew I couldn't stop the car. As soon as I saw the McDonald's lights come on I hurled into the drive through and rolled the whole way through. I only rolled the window down a few inches so the intercom wouldn't wake her up and the poor attendant had to slip my diet coke to me sideways. Little bit opened her eyes and mumbled something but she was back to sleep by the time we pulled up to the red light. It was the best 2 hours of rest either of us had had all weekend. That is one for the books!
