Graham's 4th birthday!

Before we left for the beach we had a couple of friends over for cupcakes and backyard fun.
Thomas the Tank engine.

Can we just open presents now?

Cake time!

Fun Facts:

  • Graham remains in the 90% for his weight and height

  • He is still a picky eater with Tyson chicken nuggets being his main food source. This year he has added soft crust pizza to his menu.

  • We only had one injury scare and luckily we didn't have to go to the ER when he pounded his head on a windowsill while jumping in the bounce house. It left a huge bump and bruise that scared us though.

  • He has learned to swim the length of a regular sized pool which makes me so happy.

  • Just this week he learned to get himself started on the swing set and pump his feet.

  • Staying at home or going over to our neighbors house continues to be his favorite past time. He is a little homebody and would prefer to stay there-except for the occasional trip to Mississippi.

  • Graham has become quite interested in who/what God is and what heaven is all about. I'm still figuring out the answers at a 4 year old level.

  • He is the sweetest little boy and loves to give kisses but has a short fuse when it comes to anger and frustration. I'm afraid he'll be working on that for the rest of his life. Thankfully he is a well balanced kid and has a tender heart.

The Track-Gulf Shores, Alabama

We were at the beach over Graham's birthday so we went to the Track to celebrate with a few fun rides.

Now this was fun. Graham was able to drive himself on the small track and race another little boy. I got so tickled and realized I'm in trouble because I was yelling at him to "you can pass the other little boy". Not good when the other mom turned around and I realized perhaps this wasn't appropriate for a 4 year old. :) I know where Graham gets his competitive nature.

Donkey Rides anyone?

Michael's getaway weekend.

Michael and our friend Jeff made the trek to east Tennessee for a weekend of hiking and camping.

Alyse Beach, Florida

I'm embarrassed to say I don't have a single picture of the bride or groom. We had a wonderful time at Blake and Kayla's wedding.

Thankfully we beat the weather that is looming in the background by about 2o minutes.

Out to dinner with the fam.

I can't believe this little one is big enough to be in a ride by herself.

Ready to hit the beach.

Does the hand say it all or what?

I think MV is going to be my beach buddy. She and I sat and ate snacks while we people watched for almost 30 minutes. She literally just sat in this little beach chair and didn't say a word the whole time. It was so relaxing!!!!

Now this one would never just sit and watch. I love it though, thank you PawPaw for digging in the sand.

I'm so sad that all of MV's baby fat is almost gone.

Enjoying a snow cone on the beach, now that it what I call a vacation.

PopPop drove over from FWB and enjoyed a quick swim in the waves with Graham.

We love summer!

Our first batch of homemade popsicles.

We took a field trip to Murfreesboro to check out the Children's museum. The tadpoles and crawfish in the wetlands were their favorite.
