Disney and Minivans

"I'll never drive a minivan." I remember saying that in high school and now I'm eating crow. This week we hit family milestone in buying a minivan. Thankfully everyone around is doing the same making the switch a little easier for me. You would have thought we were back at Disney World the way they smiled and jumped around. Sissy enjoyed the dealership's toy room that she didn't want to leave.
We headed downtown to see our favorite friends at Disney on Ice. It takes two pictures to get a shot of each facing forward. There was just too much to see.

PawPaw was in town and got to go with us.

Little bit enjoyed seeing everyone on the ice but was still a little unsure about some of the characters she didn't know. Particularly the genie from Aladdin. She convinced us she had a poopy and Michael said she didn't want to come back into the arena when they were finished in the bathroom. (she was totally dry)

Graham's 1st Soccer team

Michael subbed in as coach for Graham's team one week. Graham and Sis thought they were big time with their Daddy out there. Notice Miss Priss to the left. It was hard keeping her off the field this particular day.

We didn't exactly get dressed up for game day.

To think we almost didn't sign this little boy up for soccer because he is only 4 years old. I was nervous that Graham was too little to understand rules and want to follow a coach's direction but I was wrong. He is serious out on this field. There is no horseplay and rarely any silliness out of this kiddo when he hits the field. I have been shocked at his attention span and drive to play a team sport. I hope this continues on.

This was a practice shot but when Graham makes a goal during a game, he immediately turns around to find us on the sidelines and we give each other double thumbs up. It is so sweet. Michael and I are also working on humility at the same time remembering he is 4 and celebrating with him.

Gigi, Pawpaw and KK have thankfully all been able to come up for a game.

Notice how Charles (on the right) is trying to explain something to Graham but he seems to not be paying him any attention. This is what I'm talking about with his focus. We have cracked up. They were both taking an unwanted rest.

Post game snack time.

Graham took a spill or two the first game and came out crying mostly due to being so embarrassed. He soon realized that he couldn't just run back in until the coach subbed him in. This did sit well and I don't think he has come out of the game crying since.

The Pro. I mean, does he look like a serious teenager or what?

Favorite friends

I somehow convinced Mary Virginia to wear a hair bow for a few minutes and get a picture with her favorite friends. It was quite important that all four animals and the milk get in the picture.
This is a face we have become accustomed to seeing. Sis slides her bottom jaw forward and walks around like this. Not sure what this is all about but I'm afraid her bite is going to get stuck like this if she doesn't stop. Here she is attempting, and succeeding, to run from me as we are loading up for school.

First Day of Pre-K 1 and Mother's Day Out

Yes my our little ones are so cooperative when it is picture time! :)

Today was an exciting day for all of us, and maybe a little sad as Graham started Pre-K. Thankfully both were sooooooo excited and had a great first day.

Mary Virginia is 2 years and 5 months and will be going two days a week. Graham is 4 years and 2 months and will be going 3 days a week now.

Sis ran right into her new class and found a familiar friend, Matthew, to play with.

Pablo the class peacock

Graham's Pre-K 1 class's mascot is Pablo the peacock. Every weekend Pablo gets to go home with one student and we were happy tot be the first ones to introduce Pablo to Nashville. His busy weekend started off with a disappointing football game between Ole Miss and Vanderbilt.
Then it was on to My Gym for Wallace's birthday party.

He was introduced to some of our favorite friends at home.

Gigi's visit

Mom and I took the kids to the MBA festival where we enjoyed icing our own cookies and playing a few games.

This is the kids new shared room before the mattresses came in.

And here is our attempt for a slumber party. It lasted all of two hours and ended with Graham at the top of the stairs yelling down "Mommy, we are having trouble up here...".

With many tears shed, we called it off at 9:00pm and everyone headed back to their rightful beds.
