New York City

Michael and I headed to New York last weekend. GiGi flew up to take care of the kids so we could be by ourselves. It was frigid but at least it was dry.

Our hotel was on Broadway next door to the Late Show. It was the perfect Central location to everything we wanted to do and see.

Now who has heard of the "American Girl"? I had heard of them but was not aware of the craze they have become amongst little girls. By the time they hit mainstream I was out of the doll stage and aren't my parents lucky. These little dolls cost $115-$149 each. That does not include a change of clothes or accessories either. You can even buy matching clothes for your daughter to wear. We thought Cabbage Patch dolls were expensive at $30 and $40 but this is unbelievable. I hope consignment sales carry this line when Virginia gets into them.

Look at this place. You couldn't even move and people were walking out with one and two large full bags. That would be at least 2 or 3 hundred bucks a pop. I will say, however, it was one of the sweetest things to see some of these little girls so excited to be there. One Mom told us she and her daughter went to a brunch in the store and her little girl was so excited that she didn't eat a bite of her $40 plate.

You won't believe this one... They have a hair salon so you can cut the doll's hair to match your daughter's hair.

Okay, enough about American girl....

The store fronts were so creative. here we are at Macy's. When we got inside we found out that every girl with the name Virginia, got a $10 gift card to Macy's today. Of course we didn't have Virginia with us, and there was no way Mom was going to load them up to go to our Macy's back home. They were promoting the movie "Yes, Virginia".

We got half price tickets to Mary Poppins. What an awesome show it was too!

For you Dad, there is a post office inside the Manhattan Macy's.

Busy December

My attempt at a hair bow.
Not quite enough hair to keep it in just yet.

We had fun at Lucy's birthday party. Graham is finally realizing that cake and ice cream are good things.He even asked for seconds. He's almost 2 1/2 and up until a month ago, would not go near cake or ice cream.

Sis is just taking it all in.

So one of Virginia's Christmas gifts came a little early. She has outgrown the infant car seat and needed to move up soon. Not only am I sad because she is growing so fast, but she sleeps all day so being able to carry her in the car seat gave us a few opportunities to be out during the day. Not any more, we are home bound until she out grows one of her 4 or 5 naps she takes every day. Yes and she still sleeps between 11 and 12 hours at night. Our child loves her beauty sleep. :)

Does it look like we need another vehicle in this house?

We tried to "Walk Thru Bethlehem" at Woodmont Christian Church this year but the wait was just too long and we figured Graham is still too little to grasp what it is. So after an hour and 15 minute wait, we walked around to look at the animals and headed home.

Michael and I got so tickled at Graham. He was doing this without being prompted and at first he didn't even realize how funny he was being.

Little Turkeys

We had a great Thanksgiving Holiday with my family and Michael's Dad in town. Our turkey took up the entire oven so we had to wait for it to cook through before starting any other side items. Needless-to-say it was 4:00 pm before we sat down to our Thanksgiving feast but it was worth the wait.

I wanted to get a good shot of the kids in their Turkey clothes because we won't be seeing them again, which is so sad to say. You can tell Graham is quite a ham these days. I hope the following pictures capture his little personality for you.

Here Graham was trying to move away from Virginia so Michael asked him "Graham, lean in to Sissy." It looks like one of those posed glamor shots to me.

Silly little boy. I was jumping around being silly hoping to get good smiles out of the two of them, but Graham over exaggerated his laugh and Virginia was staring at him trying to figure out what was wrong with him.

Who knows what this face is all about. Again, are you catching any of Graham's silliness?

7 Months old

So this may be the first and last smocked bishop dress and bonnet I make. I now realize why they are so expensive in the stores but I also see why they are so special. Thank goodness for eBay.

Fall Playdate

Lily and William joined Graham for a fun afternoon in the playhouse and pile of leaves.
It's amazing to think that in just 7 months our play dates have doubled from 3 to 6. Here you can barely see the newest addition, Anna Reid, in the ball of pink and the second newest, Matthew chugging a bottle.

Warm weather fun

A few weeks ago we had some of the most beautiful weather we've ever seen in November. We took the kids to Percer Warner and tried to get some pictures of them in the Ole Miss outfits because the weekend before had been miserably cold in the Grove.

Should Graham decide he wants to play football, I've decided "kicker" will be his position.
