Happy Labor Day!!

This was my first visit to my PaPaw's house. My PaPaw was so funny. He played the piano and sang for me this weekend. He says that I need to learn to play so that someone will use his piano since Daddy won't play it for him.
Now this may get confusing but I have a PaPaw and a PawPaw so you'll have to pay attention to the spelling to know who is who for now.
PawPaw and Gigi out on the dock at PaPaw's house.
My Daddy is so silly sometimes. Today he made me giggle for the first time. Of course you know no one had the video camera for this "first". Oh well, I'm sure my Daddy will keep me laughing for a while.
Why does PaPaw always make us laugh but he always looks so serious? My PaPaw-he's a character.

Out at the Shop

This is my PawPaw's Shop. He and my Uncle Kevin spend a lot of time out here. It won't be long before I can help them build fun things and fix broken ones.
I promise I don't know sign language yet.

8 Weeks today!

Mommy couldn't get a smile out of me this morning. She said she was too tired because I kept her all morning. Not really though. She wouldn't let me cry long enough in my crib because she was afraid she wake Uncle Kevin, GiGi and PawPaw. I have a feeling that when we get back home I'm going to have to cry a lot more. I just don't ever like to go back to sleep whenever I wake up in the night. I'm always kicking and punching around and keeping myself awake. One day I'll figure out how to calm myself. Maybe I'll find my hands before too much longer.

Great Grandmother and Granddaddy

This is my PawPaw and my Great Granddaddy. We had lunch with them today. Of course I slept while they ate.
Great Grandmother can sure keep me entertained.

At home for yet another nap. Mommy thinks I sleep with my eyes open sometimes. I think she may be right.

My first trip to Georgia

Aunt Janet spoiled me rotten while Mommy went shopping. That was the best nap ever. Kirkland and I weren't quite sure we wanted this picture. My family was so silly trying to get this picture before church. Daddy was determined we could get a family shot.
Kirkland asked "Why is Uncle Mitey holding this baby and not me?" He and I were both battling over who Daddy would hold.
My cousins were so much fun. Harrison was so excited for me to meet his friends in the neighborhood and Kirkland was just trying to figure it all out.

I love my cousin Kirky!!! He's going to teach me how to be rough and tough.
I love my cousin Harrison!!!

7 Weeks Today

YEAH! I can smile now!! My Daddy makes me laugh all of the time these days! I've even found my voice a little. I've tried to tell Mommy how silly she is when she talks to me in her baby voice. I just can't quite get my voice working all of the time though. It won't be long and they will have a hard time keeping me quiet.

Dress up time

Mommy sure does seem to enjoy playing dress up.
As my PaPaw says, "Isn't he cute?"
This week I've starting smiling back to Mommy and Daddy. They just laugh and laugh at me because I shrug my nose and open my mouth really big when I smile.

6 Weeks

Today is my 6 week birthday. I slept was much much better last night, getting up only once to eat and one other time just to get some reassurance that it was bedtime. I just thought maybe Mommy and Daddy had their days and nights mixed up but they didn't. My legs are getting fatter and fatter, especially behind my knees.

Daddy went in to work late this morning so we got to hang out for a while. He dressed me in my fishing hat that cousin Kirkland and cousin Harrison loaned me and we headed out for quick stroll before it got too hot outside. You can almost see my rolls.

Sweet BooBoo

Right now I'm a little confused because I thought my name was Graham but all Mommy calls me is her Sweet BooBoo and all Daddy calls me is his Sweet Baby Boy. How am I ever going to learn my name?
I've been in my big boy crib for almost two weeks now. It has helped Mommy and Daddy because they can't hear ALL of my conversations at night. Only the big cries wake them up now. I've smiled at Daddy a couple of times and hopefully it won't be long before I'm smiling all of the time.
Last night was a rough night for Mommy and Daddy because I was not tired at all, or maybe I was too tired to fall asleep. I would get about a 30 minute nap and I was ready for someone to come and get me out of my cage. Finally at about 3:00 am I fell asleep for good. I let Mommy sleep in until almost 7 am so hopefully she got some rest. I think I'm going to have to start staying awake more during the day and see if that makes me more tired at night.
I sure am eating well these days. Only two more weeks before we go back to the doctor and see how much I weigh.

First Trip to Church

We finally made it to church and I never even knew I was there. Other than some cooing, hopefully the preacher didn't know I was there either.

Young Life Baby

I'm starting out early in my first Young Life t-shirt. It won't be long and I'll be heading to SharpTop Cove. Thank you Mark for the awesome shirt!
Are my hands really that big?
Mommy and Daddy took me out to see the Plummer's. They just laughed at me and thought I was the cutest thing. I sure hope Uncle Brooks and the other YL guys will take me camping when I get older.

Aunt Liz wasn't quite sure what to do with me but I sure did enjoy her holding me! She kept whispering WARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR EAGLE in my ear even though she goes to ALABAMA.

5 Weeks

Poor Mommy, it took three changes of clothes just to get my picture in my onesie this morning. It's her fault though. She should have burped me longer because as soon as she changed my onesie, I had to spit up again. She's learning.

I have had two great nights of sleep in a row. Mommy and Daddy are trying to get me used to putting myself to sleep. Mommy feeds me one last time at 10:00, burps me and puts me in my bed with my blue teddy bear Miss Dakota gave me. By the time I hit the mattress, I'm so tired it only takes a few seconds of hearing my teddy bear's song before I'm asleep. I wake up twice a night to eat but I can fall back to sleep so easily. (As long as changing my diaper is fast enough to not totally wake me.) Mommy has been getting good sleep in between my night time feedings. At 7:00 am we wake up and begin our day.

I sure do enjoy my new pallet. I can look in the mirror and play with all the hanging animals. It's a lot more fun on my side and I sure will be happy when I can lay on my stomach to sleep.
