Nashville Zoo

"Seriously?"

Finally got a smile for the camera.
Surprisingly, Graham wanted to ride in the stroller rather than walk.
Almost got a still shot of Graham and Lily sitting together.
If ever there is an older kid around, our son is in awe. He gets so tickled by them. You can see him laughing at the little girl.
This is what he thought of the goat in the petting zoo. This is usually what happens when he's unsure about something.

Side shot.

Yet another "almost" still shot of the two of them.

I realized that the animals weren't quite the draw for us. It was the people. Graham is so happy people-watching. I wonder where he gets that from?

School Days!

Graham loves the slide in his new classroom.

The garden center has also shown up on his daily activity sheet several times.
This was a new one for me. Puzzles. I couldn't believe that he was interested in them because they don't have wheels, they don't bounce, and they don't make noise.
Aren't these little chairs the cutest? Graham and his friends sit at the table for lunch these days.
Enjoying some music time with his water bottles.

Going shopping.

Graham got a new shopping cart today. This child loves to push toys with wheels. We've hit the jackpot here because he can throw toys in it and push them around.

Couldn't get a smile out of him when the camera was ready of course.
Who needs a swimsuit?"I love my new bucket and shovels Mrs. Pat gave me!" Thank you!

O'Neal family additionS!

Call us crazy but we knew we wanted pets and like children, when are you ever ready? We've rescued two golden retrievers from a rescue here in Nashville. We don't know much about them but think they are related (perhaps brother and sister or mother and son) and they've been malnourished so these are some of our before pictures.

We are in the process of renaming them Hank, the blond and Sweetie, the red. They are really sweet sweet dogs and Graham of course is so excited.

Hank has been the most interested in Graham. The perfect first day! Hank

Not good!

This morning I started getting alarmed when I realized it was suspiciously quiet. I was watching the Today show and I knew Graham was playing in the hallway so I jumped up to check on him and this is what I found.
My son not only found my shirt somehow, but he figured out how to put it over his head. I was laughing so hard I could barely get to my feet to get to the camera.
It's a little scary to see your 13 month old wearing a "dress".

I Love dirt!

Graham discovered my flower pots this weekend. Since the all of the flowers are practically dead I let him go after one pot. He just laughed and laughed every time he slung a handful of dirt out of the pot.

"Are ya'll watching me?"
Time for a bath now.
It took several bathes to get the dirt out of Graham's nose and ears. Looks like a Blondy in this picture.

Gone to PaPaw's Beach!

Sharing my Papaw with Michael Conley
Lucy sings base, Papaw sings tenor, baby G joins right in there!

Chillin' with my PaPaw.... he's teaching me to singggggg!
While we were in Florida we tried a straw for the first time. That was an easy task to teach. Just squeezed the cup until the water came up the straw and that was all the help he needed.
Gettin' it with PaPaw.
"PaPaw makes me laugh all the time."
The O'Neal's

More Beach time!

We headed to PaPaw's for another fun weekend full of sun and water. I am so thankful that Graham loves them both as much as I do. If it wasn't so hot at home, we would live outside in the summer.

Here we have a child that is not afraid of the surf or waves.
Small wave crashes down on Graham.
Look at that smile though. It's a little scary that he isn't phased by the saltwater or fearful of the waves.
Back at PaPaw's house we jumped in the pool to rinse all the sand and salt off. Graham borrowed a friends life vest-he was our little mermaid for a short while. It didn't bother him one bit.
Ran out of swim diapers while we were outside so this was the alternative. Graham was waddling and his diaper was throwing him off balance. We were laughing hysterically.

We LOVE the summer!!!! Can you tell?
