Graham is gearing up for his first trip to Vail, CO. Will daddy's boots fit me?
We had quite the travel day. 15 minutes before we were scheduled to leave the house, Graham had a nasty diaper that leaked into his pants so we had to have an emergency bath. Then PaPaw drove us to the airport where we forget our car seat. Oh well. We arrived in Denver only to discover that my bag was lost. That's right, everything I needed to be able to ski was in the bag.
We proceeded to the car rental, rented a car seat (Several friends have already warned me of doing such but we had no choice) until we could make it to Target 15 minutes away. While Katherine and I shopped for a car seat, Michael drove back to the airport to return the rented one. Everything was going smoothly until Graham started making strained faces. Yep, another BAD, BAD, BAD diaper. I rushed him to the "family" restroom and found that "it" had gone EVERYWHERE-including up his back. I needed about 4 more hands so I yelled for Katherine to come help. I ran through all of the wipes I had and still needed more. Despite all of the mishaps of the day, we all stayed stress free-which is remarkable for me when travelling with a baby.
This is the view from our condo when we arrived on Thursday afternoon.

This is the view when we were leaving on Monday morning. Vail
received 15 inches of snow while we were there. 13 of it the night before we left.
You can see why Vail is Michael's favorite place to ski.

Heading up the lift for our first run.

Lunch in Lion's Head

Bryan and Katherine Jacobs joined us on this special trip. Enjoying some much earned filet's at the Minturn Country Club.

Check out that sectional and my boarding pants!

Graham had a great time with the Jacobs'. Thanks for vacationing with us!

We hope Graham grows up to enjoy Colorado as much as we do.

Graham was a trooper all week. He stayed in the Vail nursery so we could ski. He did fairly well. The girls couldn't get him to take a bottle but boy did he eat. He downed 4 jars of baby food within 5 hours each day. It's no wonder we had the diapers we had. Our daily report was "Graham is a mess." We aren't exactly sure what they meant but we are hoping he was flirty and funny.

Heading to the airport.
Our trip back to the airport was challenging because it was so slushy heading up over Vail Pass. We found out the next morning, via the Today Show, that there was a 75 car pile up on I-70 just an hour after we were on that particular stretch. We prayed for safety at dinner the night before, and we have been praising the Lord for having His hand on us the whole way.

Bryan walked Graham aroundin DIA until he finally gave up and fell asleep. He slept on our shoulders for 2 and a half hours.

When he did wake up, he was ready to play. Bryan's computer was definitely top on his list of toys.

The air vents kept him entertained for a while as well.

I love looking out of the window.... in fact, it put me to sleep later
