Michael and I are pros at Disney when it comes to doing it as adults only. Taking kids proved a different story from the very first morning. Parks open at 9 and we were set to be in the car leaving at 7:30. We were running 5 minutes off schedule when we were all loaded up and Dad noticed a flat tire on our rental van. Uggggghhhh! After a few exchanges of what we should do, one was chosen and we were back on the road and behind schedule by 25 minutes now. We get to the parking lot and off to the monorail only to realized halfway through the longer-than-usual ride, we are on the way to Epcot, not magic kingdom. Mercy, what else can keep us from seeing the opening act at Magic Kingdom which starts at 8:30. Well we finally made it at 9:10 and were informed the park had opened at 8:00. So much for we pros.
However, this picture does explain where Mary Virginia gets some of her looks from. Do they resemble each other to you?
Still notice, the kids are not impressed with the camera, but I was determined to log each and every step of this vacation. :)
Sewing club friends, I finished it with three days to spare. Of course we had an accident midway through the day and had to change but luckily I was prepared. Michael would tell you I packed the house on the stroller and he was pretty accurate.
I think this is precious. Tinker Bell brought Graham and Mary Virginia sweet treat and their outfits each morning. One of the treats on the first day was a Lightening McQueen autograph book and Tinkerbell pen that Graham literally carried in his hand all day long. Anytime we would sit for a break, he would get it out and practice drawing straight lines.
We had lunch inside Cinderella's castle and boy was Graham enamoured by all of the princess. Cinderella by far stole his heart.
Guess who fell asleep in the stroller on the walk to the castle. Mary Virginia slept through the entire lunch and the sweet waitress made us a bed out of two chairs.
Our little sleeping beauty.
Guess who woke up as we were leaving. Michael ran back upstairs and asked Belle if we could get a picture with her since MV had slept through all of lunch. It was still money well spent.
Another break with the book.
The day is starting to wear on everybody a little by this point.
Second outfit of the day and finally a short rest on the train. We actually stayed on and road it twice.
It was no surprise that the race cars where Graham's favorite ride of Disney World.
