...and we're off again.

In his 9 short months of life, Graham has now been on 5 flights. Denver, New Orleans, Hattiesburg, Marco Island and Jacksonville. I think it's safe to say we have a great traveler on our hands. We are going to stay home a little now. Graham will be starting school (mother's day out) in a few weeks so we may be slowing down our travels a bit.
" I'm sick of you taking my toys away Mommy!"Graham was enamoured with the sand in Jacksonville.
Dabbling in the water. It was a little chilly while we were there but we tried to make the most of the pool and beach.
After the beach we headed to the river in downtown Jacksonville. We had a room on the 15th floor. Graham had the best time watching all of the people down on the river walk.

Back to Florida.

"Can I get a swim cap like yours one day NacNac?"
It doesn't get much better than a cold drink on PaPaw's back porch watching the pretty boats go by.Graham is getting better at drinking water from a sippy cup but don't dare even think about putting milk in there or a bottle. He'll still have none of it.
Rocking away with PaPaw

While PaPaw and Michael took naps on the couch, Graham and I decided to head to the beach. We didn't stay long but I can safely say my son enjoys the sun and water as much as I do.

on to Gulf Shores

Out of the previous 6 nights, Graham has slept in 5 different beds. WHOA! That may be a record. But they have all been fun and he's even gotten to sleep with me most of those nights. Teething and travel makes for a lot of exceptions when it comes to sleep.

Graham and I drove from Fort Walton Beach to Gulf Shores on Saturday. We were going to a wedding there while Michael stayed in FWB for another wedding. I think that makes 8 weddings since Graham has been born. (He's not even 10 months old yet) We've had a lot of fun at all of them I must say.

This condo had a great pool for kids. It's "no-entry" access made it more fun for Graham to be able to crawl around.

His first pair of flip-flops. Thank you Uncle Kevin!
PawPaw took Graham out on the beach before we had to say goodbye.
Having fun at the condo.

Graham gets so tickled by the word "shoe".

Getting ready for Chance and Rachel's wedding on the beach.

You don't even want to know!

After a 3 hour nap in the car, Graham woke up a little north of Birmingham aswe were travelling back from Florida. An alarming odor reached the front and when I turned my head..... You can only imagine what I saw. From HEAD to TOE-Literally!

We pulled into the nearest Wal-Mart to bathe and decontaminate the car. Michael purchased a couple gallons of water, Lysol wipes and more baby wipes. We gave Graham a complete bath in the parking lot. Yes we had quite a number of stares. Surely this is the worst diaper we'll have, SURELY!!!! At least we could laugh about it-I think we were just in so much shock we didn't know what else to do.

9 Month checkup

Graham received a great report from the doctor. He's almost 21 pounds (20.14lbs) and 29.5 inches tall. We are now to the point that we can't eat in front of him without him wanting something.
This is what we do while we are waiting on the doctor. Graham loves to rip the paper.
Nurse Caitlin gave him his first crayon and you can see where it went first.

" Bottle? Silly Mommy, I'm not going to drink that!"
That's right, our child refuses to drink from a sippy cup or bottle at this time. He has taken bottles easily since birth but once he had to have them for a week straight in January, he has boycotted. This was the first of 4 feedings he skipped before I caved in to the crocodile tears.
Not gonna do it...

We did get a chance to wish Lily Happy Birthday on Tuesday. She was so sweet to let Graham share her new pink chair.

9 Months Old

We finally have teeth!!!! Graham had a tooth pop through 2 days before his 9 month birthday. He still isn't eating much more than baby food and yogurt. I'm afraid he takes after his Mommy when it comes to food. Picky! He doesn't like: peaches, strawberries, mac and cheese-or any pasta really. I'm struggling to find foods that don't require chewing and that Graham will eat-- I'm not having much luck.
Graham has been on the road this month. He's been to CO, MS, and GA this month. Next month will be FL, possibly Gulf shores, AL and who knows where else. He's a trooper to put up with all of our travels.

While in MS we discovered that Graham is not a fan of Grass. We've heard that both his Uncle Kevin and Uncle Patrick were funny about grass as well. He did however, play with a pine straw for about 30 minutes while he sat in his new pool.
Graham loves to crawl over to GiGi's back door and pat-pat the window until the puppy dogs come running.
Graham has also started talking much more. He's figured out how to make the Da and Ta sounds. Of course DaDa is interpreted to be Daddy.

PawPaw and Graham getting ready to chomp down on some fried oysters at South Street.

GiGi and Graham worked in the yard on Thursday. It was 87 degrees and we all loved being out in the warm weather.

Monkey walk

Graham doesn't like to crawl on the grass or the concrete. It's a little rough on his skin.

Graham's Monkey Walk

It took a while to get Graham to do his monkey walk so you may need to fast forward to 2.30 minutes to see his cute crawl.

Spring Break in Vail, CO

Graham is gearing up for his first trip to Vail, CO. Will daddy's boots fit me?

We had quite the travel day. 15 minutes before we were scheduled to leave the house, Graham had a nasty diaper that leaked into his pants so we had to have an emergency bath. Then PaPaw drove us to the airport where we forget our car seat. Oh well. We arrived in Denver only to discover that my bag was lost. That's right, everything I needed to be able to ski was in the bag.

We proceeded to the car rental, rented a car seat (Several friends have already warned me of doing such but we had no choice) until we could make it to Target 15 minutes away. While Katherine and I shopped for a car seat, Michael drove back to the airport to return the rented one. Everything was going smoothly until Graham started making strained faces. Yep, another BAD, BAD, BAD diaper. I rushed him to the "family" restroom and found that "it" had gone EVERYWHERE-including up his back. I needed about 4 more hands so I yelled for Katherine to come help. I ran through all of the wipes I had and still needed more. Despite all of the mishaps of the day, we all stayed stress free-which is remarkable for me when travelling with a baby.

This is the view from our condo when we arrived on Thursday afternoon.

This is the view when we were leaving on Monday morning. Vail received 15 inches of snow while we were there. 13 of it the night before we left.

You can see why Vail is Michael's favorite place to ski.

The covered bridge leading to Vail Village.

Heading up the lift for our first run.

Lunch in Lion's Head

Bryan and Katherine Jacobs joined us on this special trip. Enjoying some much earned filet's at the Minturn Country Club.

Check out that sectional and my boarding pants!

Graham had a great time with the Jacobs'. Thanks for vacationing with us!

We hope Graham grows up to enjoy Colorado as much as we do.

Graham was a trooper all week. He stayed in the Vail nursery so we could ski. He did fairly well. The girls couldn't get him to take a bottle but boy did he eat. He downed 4 jars of baby food within 5 hours each day. It's no wonder we had the diapers we had. Our daily report was "Graham is a mess." We aren't exactly sure what they meant but we are hoping he was flirty and funny.

Heading to the airport.

Our trip back to the airport was challenging because it was so slushy heading up over Vail Pass. We found out the next morning, via the Today Show, that there was a 75 car pile up on I-70 just an hour after we were on that particular stretch. We prayed for safety at dinner the night before, and we have been praising the Lord for having His hand on us the whole way.

Bryan walked Graham aroundin DIA until he finally gave up and fell asleep. He slept on our shoulders for 2 and a half hours.

When he did wake up, he was ready to play. Bryan's computer was definitely top on his list of toys.

The air vents kept him entertained for a while as well.

I love looking out of the window.... in fact, it put me to sleep later
