Merry Christmas!

We met and sat with Santa Claus this morning at Cheekwood for the first time.  While we were there we ran into some fun friends, Mac and Alice.  What a fun surprise.
Christmas Eve photo.  You can see I am still playing around with my new camera lens and haven't quite figured out all of the lighting settings.
Graham and Mary Virginia are peering out the window trying to spot Rudolph's red nose in the sky.  So sweet!
Merry Christmas!
Santa brought Sissy a really fun wooden tiered cake that she can decorate and let me just say, it was a hit!  She didn't want to open any of her wrapped gifts from us or Mom and Dad.  I have never seen a child do that.  It was late on Monday before she opened up all of her gifts, and only then because we helped her by ripping them were we could see what was in there and she was finally enticed to see the rest.
Graham pondering over his stash.
Ha, little bit in his kerchief.
Look at this pitiful red velvet cake.  HA!  I still laugh looking at what a pathetic cake I baked to celebrate Christ's birthday.  So glad it isn't about works :)!  It still tasted delicious and we had a fun time celebrating the reason for the season!  Happy Birthday Jesus!
Notice the eggnog in the background.  The only two people in my world that will consider sipping on this thick concoction are my husband and my first born.  Yuk!!  is all I can say to that stuff, but oh how they get giddy over it's appearance in the fridge.
Sissy asked Santa to bring her a baby doll with blue hair.  Hmmm, I asked her if she had ever seen one before and she then asked for multiple colors in her hair.  Santa may not be able to make dolls with bright colored hair I told her.  Uh-Oh, our first Santa disappointment.  After several days of not playing with her doll, I mentioned it to her and she said "she doesn't have blue hair."  Well she is correct and again, I had to blame Santa for that problem.
Charlie and Charles.

Merry Christmas! My news resolution will be to insist on family pictures when we are all together.
